Venue Rules

These are in-character rules your character should be aware of when visiting the teahouse.
Please wait to be escorted and seated by a Hostee to an available Tea Master. You can book reservations in advance to be served by a specific Tea Master. Your spot/party will be available upon arrival if the tea master is working that night.Terrorizing or being abundantly rude to our guests, in any way, in our establishment will not be tolerated. Examples bullying, harassing, stalking, prejudice, etc. will get you escorted out and possibly banned from the Black Lotus.Weapons are required to be sheathed, holstered, etc. during your entire visit at the Black Lotus. Acts of aggression in the teahouse will get you removed from the Black Lotus.Fighting is not allowed at the Black Lotus.
This is a not a fight club. Any fights, verbally and physically are to be taken out of the teahouse or you can brawl it out at the "Tipping Scales". If a fight escalates to the point that our security has to get involved, you will get removed/escorted from our establishment.No smoking in the Tea house.
There are special areas where visitors are allowed to privately smoke or enjoy their supplements during their visit; the smoke lounge or outside of the Black Lotus’ entrance. A Tea Master's private booth depends on the tea master’s preference, and would require their explicit permission. If you are smoking outside, we ask you to be at a good distance away from the guests arriving.This is not a brothel, so do not treat it like one.
It's our Tea Masters job to serve companionship and entertainment for our guests. However, those services are strictly limited to a suitable for work environment and none of our tea masters should be disrespected in any way possible in our establishment. What our Tea Master's do off the clock has nothing to do with the Black Lotus.No shirt, No shoes, No service!
Dress like civilized beings and appropriate for the public eye. No one wants to see your chest hair and smell your musty toes while eating.
Peets are an exception if properly groomed and trimmed. We adore our walking toe-bean guests.

Roleplay Rules

These are out-of-character rules that we want you to be mindful of.
This roleplay is for adults (21+ years old) since subjects can venture into a mature setting such as IN-GAME politics, religion, drug use, alcohol, violence, profanity, erotic content, sexual themes, gambling, substances, racism, etc.Mixing in-character and out-of-character events / scenarios are not allowed here unless the individuals discussed prior to planning and came to this agreement before hand.Roleplaying can take place in game and / or in our discord server. We love creativity! If you need help with a character or roleplaying in general, check out our support-hub in the discord server.This is a MRP/SFW venue: 21+ years or older, and no ERP allowed in the venue. Communication is key and no one can predict what you are uncomfortable with. If someone is consecutively making you feel uncomfortable after you expressed this, please reach out to a staff immediately to diffuse the situation.Be mindful that this is a public venue: If you don't get along with someone, you are not obligated to speak or interact with them. The Black Lotus is neutral grounds and will not oblige to any incidents that may have taken place outside of the Black Lotus towards a person you have/had issues with (either genuine or spiteful). If the person/people becomes a problem and we see it first hand in the venue, then it will become the Black Lotus' problem.ONLY In-character drama / conflict is allowed (along with R-rated content such as drugs, alcohol, & violence). So keep in mind that if your character causes trouble in the teahouse, you're enabling the possibility of permanent in-character consequences.God-modding and auto-attacks are not allowed. You’re not the WoL here & Mary-sue characters will not be tolerated here in this roleplay, so utilize the dice system accordingly. May the RNG gods be with you.

Partnership Qualificaitons

Thank you for becoming, or being interested in, a partner with the Black Lotus!
Please be sure to provide the Black Lotus your venue card, discord, date and times, and lastly, your venue/organization's logo!
To become a partner of the Black Lotus, you will need to make a reservation with the owners/managers to schedule an in-character meeting. The Black Lotus' server benefits their partners with the following: You will be allowed to use the LFRP channel and ping for advertising opening hours, allowed to conduct multiple posts in your own forum post to update the black Lotus members of your venue's specials and themes, and lastly, your venue will be pinned to the discord server's event calendar and carrd calendar.QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRMENTS
- Your venue can NOT over lap with the Black lotus or Tipping Scales venue days & hours.
I can not stress this enough that the Black Lotus and Tipping scales are a package deal since me and my partner, both own both of these venues on our main characters and alt characters. We can not be at two places at once when it comes to our characters. The Black Lotus will not, and can not, partner with any venues that take place on the first Sunday of every month nor the 2nd Saturday of each month. We want to be able to visit your venue and establish a fun and healthy in-character interactions. We cant do that if our venues are set at the same time. There's little to no chance this is negotiable to change, but you're welcome to converse with us on this matter depending on what your looking for in the partnership.- Visiting your venue.
Assuming you, or your group, has already visited our teahouse, this is probably why you're interested in a partnership. If that's the case, the Owners/Managers of the Black Lotus will visit your venue to take note of how the venue is arranged which includes your staffing, venue setting, and overall theme! If it's something we like we can proceed with webbing out ideas together!- Mature Roleplay Partners only
The Black lotus is only interested in making ties and connections with roleplay affiliated organizations and venues only. We're not interested in making connections with twitch, Dance clubs, and OOC venues. Mind you, we are not looking to partner with ERP-focused venues/organizations. MRP is not the same as ERP. Your venue can not be available to minors. Sorry, but the Black Lotus restricts the Free company and venue to 18+ users only.
