Teahouse Hooks

1. MAKE A RESERVATION
You're more than welcome to make reservations with a specific Tea Master, Hostess, or Bartender from our staff page here. Reservations are to be made a week in advance before venue day starts. All reservations start at 6PM (CST). If you and/or your party does not arrive to your reservation within 15 minutes, your reservations will be canceled.

2. FOR VOIDSENTS
If you're a voidsent, the moment your character steps inside the teahouse , the character will slowly feel the weight of their body become heavy. the longer the voidsent stays, their stamina and energy will start to deplete. This spell does not effect your character's health, but it does put a strain on your character's stamina and energy.Special items, like rings and ear-rings, are given to voidsents who are residents / registered into the Black Lotus. These items are crafted to protect your character from being affected by the spell. If you require one, please reach out to a manager.

3. FOR YOKAIS
If your character is a Yokai: the moment your character tries to step past the teahouse's entrance, their body will bounce back. The teahouse has been warded by a priestess. During venue hours, staff will provide yokai a temporary entry using a paper sutra that will be placed on their forehead. The Sutra can only be used once. So once it's ripped off, it will sizzle to ashes.It's advised to keep it on during your character's visit. Removing it while still inside will trigger the ward of the teahouse to vacuum toss your character out through the closest window or door with incredible speed and force.Special items like rings and ear-rings are given to Yokai who are residents / registered into the Black Lotus. These items are crafted to protect your character from being affected by the ward. If you require one, please reach out to a manager.

4. WANT TO PRODUCE OR BUY OUR WARES?
The Black Lotus offers a variety of items that are available for purchase. Either it be our taru barrels filled with our named branded Sake or Shochu, premium loose leaves, and lastly ritual items for hunters. Just ask!

5. NAMAZUS!
The Black Lotus is filled with happy-go-lucky, sometimes clumsy, Namazu that help and assist the staffs around the teahouse. Don't worry, they wont steal from you.

6. DIVINATION
This requires you to make a reservation with a tea master. The Black Lotus tea masters are offering tea readings for visitors who participate and visit during our venue hours! Allow us to create an interesting path of challenges for your character's adventures!What are you waiting for? 7. MEDITATION & YOGA
This requires you to make a reservation with a Host/Hostess! The Black Lotus is now offering Shin-shin-toitsu-do! It's a combination of traditional yoga, meditation, breathing, and elements from Japanese healing arts and martial arts. It's our goal to emphasizes unifying our guest's mind and body to realize one's full potential!What are you waiting for? Contracting Agency Hooks

1. CRIMINAL SAFE HAVEN
Characters involved with the Syndicate or the Yakuza would know of the Black Lotus' unground dealings and know it's a haven for criminals looking to recuperate and/or start over. Having connections with Lolorito Nanarito (NPC) and/or Hancock Fitzgerald (NPC) would most likely get you direct contact with one of the Lotus Managers.

2. LOOKING FOR WORK?
Adventurers, Bodyguards, Mercenaries, Investigators, Priests/Priestess, Crafters, etc throughout Kugane will see that the Black Lotus has posters and flyers about their Contracting Agency. Reach out to one of the managers for more details!

3. LOOKING FOR AN ALLIANCE?
The Black Lotus is opening their doors to in-character interactions with roleplay organizations. So if you believe our aesthetic fits with your organization, reach out to one of the owners so we can arrange an in-character business chat!

3. HINGASHI LOTUS LICENSE
The Black Lotus is an extension of the Eastern Arlend Trading company that's station in Kugane. Obtaining your Lotus License is an important item that grants its owner immense privileges, including free access to most public services, the ability to travel globally without a visa, and legal protection for actions like murder. You can get yours by submitting a Records inside the Discord, but you can question the owner if your character has more questions.

4. NEED BODYGUARDS? SECURITY WORKERS?
The Black Lotus Agency can provide security worker for markets, venues, and organizations. Even provide a personal body guard for light work-affiliated tasks. You can reach out to one of the managers to get clearance, scheduling, and make proper arrangements if terms are acceptable.

About the Teahouse

The Teahouse belongs to the Daisho House; A lesbian couple who only recently surfaced the streets of Kugane after buying some property in Shirogane. Unlike your traditional teahouse services, the black lotus takes a more modern approach to their socially-entwined tea masters providing a lively atmosphere for our guests whether it be singing, dancing, or socializing while conducting a wholesome tea ceremony.The Black Lotus venue is open on the first Sunday of every month:
6PM (CST) / 7PM (EST)

The Black Lotus, on the surface, is one of Kugane’s socially entwined Teahouses. At the same time, it’s a private agency that undergoes illegal and legal practices with which the Sekiseigumi can not get involved. Most takes revolved around certain exterminations under the table against troublesome voids, yokai, and other occult-related cases. Overall, the Black Lotus is one of East Aldenard Trading Company's link points for under-the-table work (i.e. infiltration, investigation, delivery, bounty, tracking, information, illicit services, etc). Due to the Black Lotus, the Teahouse has served as a safe and successful extension of trade routes in and out of the East.

About the Free Company

The Free Company is strongly affiliated with the "Tipping Scales" & “The Black Lotus” on Crystal, Zalera. Both venues are lore-friendly to Ul’dah and Kugane. We require members to be 21 or older due to the roleplay elements. We welcome both beginners and experienced role-players for GRP (General RP) & MRP (Mature RP). You are more than welcome to join with your main or alt characters.The free company home has a variety of rooms dedicated for personal or public roleplaying. The discord server offers free company members a fun way to communicate with one another for canonic events that can be taken into the in-game platform as well. If you're looking for someone to roleplay with, need advice on how to start, etc. just ask! Our discord server has a lovely section to help members get started with character profiles, share ideas, along with photos and art of your character(s).
Outside of RP, we do want to start initiating weekly maps, mount farms, and other in-game content to help members progress in the FFXIV world.

Venue Rules

These are in-character rules your character should be aware of when visiting the teahouse.
Please wait to be escorted and seated by a Hostee to an available Tea Master. You can book reservations in advance to be served by a specific Tea Master. Your spot/party will be available upon arrival if the tea master is working that night.Terrorizing or being abundantly rude to our guests, in any way, in our establishment will not be tolerated. Examples bullying, harassing, stalking, prejudice, etc. will get you escorted out and possibly banned from the Black Lotus.Weapons are required to be sheathed, holstered, etc. during your entire visit at the Black Lotus. Acts of aggression in the teahouse will get you removed from the Black Lotus.Fighting is not allowed at the Black Lotus.
This is a not a fight club. Any fights, verbally and physically are to be taken out of the teahouse or you can brawl it out at the "Tipping Scales". If a fight escalates to the point that our security has to get involved, you will get removed/escorted from our establishment.No smoking in the Tea house.
There are special areas where visitors are allowed to privately smoke or enjoy their supplements during their visit; the smoke lounge or outside of the Black Lotus’ entrance. A Tea Master's private booth depends on the tea master’s preference, and would require their explicit permission. If you are smoking outside, we ask you to be at a good distance away from the guests arriving.This is not a brothel, so do not treat it like one.
It's our Tea Masters job to serve companionship and entertainment for our guests. However, those services are strictly limited to a suitable for work environment and none of our tea masters should be disrespected in any way possible in our establishment. What our Tea Master's do off the clock has nothing to do with the Black Lotus.No shirt, No shoes, No service!
Dress like civilized beings and appropriate for the public eye. No one wants to see your chest hair and smell your musty toes while eating.
Peets are an exception if properly groomed and trimmed. We adore our walking toe-bean guests.

Roleplay Rules

These are out-of-character rules that we want you to be mindful of.
This roleplay is for adults (21+ years old) since subjects can venture into a mature setting such as IN-GAME politics, religion, drug use, alcohol, violence, profanity, erotic content, sexual themes, gambling, substances, racism, etc.Mixing in-character and out-of-character events / scenarios are not allowed here unless the individuals discussed prior to planning and came to this agreement before hand.Roleplaying can take place in game and / or in our discord server. We love creativity! If you need help with a character or roleplaying in general, check out our support-hub in the discord server.
This is a MRP/SFW venue: 21+ years or older, and no ERP allowed in the venue. Communication is key and no one can predict what you are uncomfortable with. If someone is consecutively making you feel uncomfortable after you expressed this, please reach out to a staff immediately to diffuse the situation.

Be mindful that this is a public venue: If you don't get along with someone, you are not obligated to speak or interact with them. The Black Lotus is neutral grounds and will not oblige to any incidents that may have taken place outside of the Black Lotus towards a person you have/had issues with (either genuine or spiteful). If the person/people becomes a problem and we see it first hand in the venue, then it will become the Black Lotus' problem.ONLY In-character drama / conflict is allowed (along with R-rated content such as drugs, alcohol, & violence). So keep in mind that if your character causes trouble in the teahouse, you're enabling the possibility of permanent in-character consequences.God-modding and auto-attacks are not allowed. You’re not the WoL here & Mary-sue characters will not be tolerated here in this roleplay, so utilize the dice system accordingly. May the RNG gods be with you.

Partnerships Rules

Thank you for becoming, or being interested in, a partner with the Black Lotus!
Please be sure to provide the Black Lotus your venue card, discord, date and times, and lastly, your venue/organization's logo!
To become a partner of the Black Lotus, you will need to make a reservation with the owners/managers to schedule an in-character meeting. The Black Lotus' server benefits their partners with the following: You will be allowed to use the LFRP channel and ping for advertising opening hours, allowed to conduct multiple posts in your own forum post to update the black Lotus members of your venue's specials and themes, and lastly, your venue will be pinned to the discord server's event calendar and carrd calendar.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRMENTS
- Your venue can NOT over lap with the Black lotus or Tipping Scales venue days & hours.
I can not stress this enough that the Black Lotus and Tipping scales are a package deal since me and my partner, both own both of these venues on our main characters and alt characters. We can not be at two places at once when it comes to our characters. The Black Lotus will not, and can not, partner with any venues that take place on the first Sunday of every month nor the 2nd Saturday of each month. We want to be able to visit your venue and establish a fun and healthy in-character interactions. We cant do that if our venues are set at the same time. There's little to no chance this is negotiable to change, but you're welcome to converse with us on this matter depending on what your looking for in the partnership.- Visiting your venue.
Assuming you, or your group, has already visited our teahouse, this is probably why you're interested in a partnership. If that's the case, the Owners/Managers of the Black Lotus will visit your venue to take note of how the venue is arranged which includes your staffing, venue setting, and overall theme! If it's something we like we can proceed with webbing out ideas together!- Mature Roleplay Partners only
The Black lotus is only interested in making ties and connections with roleplay affiliated organizations and venues only. We're not interested in making connections with twitch, Dance clubs, and OOC venues. Mind you, we are not looking to partner with ERP-focused venues/organizations. MRP is not the same as ERP. Your venue can not be available to minors. Sorry, but the Black Lotus restricts the Free company and venue to 18+ users only- Warning
Inactive partnerships or lack of communication will resort to the Black Lotus silently removing your venue from our list. Understand that we are trying to maintain a clean and healthy in-character interactions. So leaving the server or showing no form of communication will resort to the Black lotus terminating the partnership OOC-wise (i.e. leaving the server resorts to you relinquishing your post and banner from our server and carrd). In-character wise, we can continue the lore of how our organizations have originally made and continue as normal until further notice.
